Mr. Maddox is a Certified Fire Investigator IAAI-CFI(V) Certified Police Officer and a Certified Firefighter. Mr. Maddox has over 40 years of experience involving fires and explosions and has investigated the origin and cause of more than 12,000 fires in 10 states involving industrial, commercial, and residential fires; as well as vehicle and heavy equipment fires and explosions.

Jimmy served as a Fire Investigator in the Metro-Atlanta area before joining the Georgia State Fire Marshal’s Office as part of the Arson Investigation Unit. After retiring in 2008; he founded J. Maddox Investigations.

As a part of his work, he has collected and preserved evidence, interviewed witnesses, provided consultation and testified in both criminal and civil courts since 1992.
